We took our cheese and bickies down to the sunset viewing patch. Unfortunately it was ridiculously busy and the clouds decided to cover the sun so there wasn't really a sunset!

The weather cleared up in the afternoon and the climb opened! Luke, Sharon and Tim attempted the climb! Just watching them, you could see how steep it was! Wade and I watched until we couldn't see them anymore.

We did the 8am Mala walk around part of the bottom of the rock. We learnt about the different cultures of the aboriginals and the way they lived while around Uluru. The climb was still closed this morning due to low fog. We couldn't see Ayers Rock until we got right up to it. The walk went for a bit over 2 hours. The first day we went to the rock, the climb was closed! It was drizzling and foggy. We went for a wonder and decided we would do the 8am tour the next day. We went for a drive around the rock (as far as you can go) and then went back to camp for the night.

We set up camp at Ayer Rock Camp ground. We put the extra annex up as it looked liked it was going to rain again and as we were staying for two nights we though it was better to be safe than sorry! The camp ground was so full we had to set up in the over flow section right down the back.
