After one last night in Townsville we have travelled to Airlie beach which is lovley little town where we will be setting off on our sailing trip to the Whitsunday islands.

The first day of the sailing trip has been great we set off from the Harbour around 9am after picking up our sexy stinger suits! From there we sailed to Whitehaven beachit is the most beautiful beach we have ever seen the sand is 95% silica sand so its like walking on soft fluffly snow and it dosnt heat up aither so you dont burn your feet! it even sqeeked under your feet.

From there we sailed to Cateran bay where we spent the night and i got experience my first night scuba dive it was so spooky all you have is a glowstick on your tank and a flashlight it was amazing although i was convinced a shark was going to sneak up and eat me! we saw some strange fish and even a corpian fish so it was great. we all slept really well the first night i think it was the boat rocking us to sleep althought heiki managed to make an enemy apparently he was snoring too loud but i didnt hear it.

Today we were woken at 7am for brekky, i did another scuba dive then we both went for a snorkel we saw tons of fish and even a blue spotted stingray! From there we sailed to the next spot and it was full on maxi sailing we could all help hoist the sails it was pretty cold once we got goingand the sea was crashing up onto the boat. by the time we got there we were soaked through and totally windsweppd but it was great fun.

After tea we all got on the "Goon" while evi one of thr crew members played the guitar under the stars.

Thefinal day had to arrive at some point we got up bright and early and i went for yet another dive (yep im addicted) but i couldnt resist it was fish feeding dive, tere were hundreds of them it was so good, then we went through what is called the mazeand as its name states it was a maze of coral with loads of tunnels and caves to swim through, my favourite dive yet.

We both then went for another snorkel where we swam with a turtle for about ten minutes it was so graceful in the water, it just swam happily along with next to it and occasionally it would come to the surface for a breath what an amazing experience!

Onc back on board we got our waterproofs on ready for the sail backit was really windy so we knew it was a good oneand it really was . By this time id completly given up on my hair it hadnt been washed or even brushed for three whole days ha ha!

We said our goodbyes to everyone and agreed to meet up for a beer later one beer turned inot a hell of alot more and a few jugs later we had a crazy night! we definatly took advantage of the free beer. We had a great time and the people we were with were a really good group. we were pretty sad when it wa all over.
