Had a great night out last night met a few people thatw were on some of our trips. drank far too much as usual but thats what nights out are for, we were feeling a little worse for wear this morning as we made our way down to Byron bay. Nothing fish and chips on the beach couldnt sort out. The monthly market was on today so all the hippies of Byron were out in full force, it was good fun tho. yet again another place that we love!

So today the rain is pouring what better way to spend a wet day than with a surf lesson. It was hillarious. Firstly they had us doing some stretches on the sand ( nit couldnt be that strenous could it) then soon after we were laying on the sand practising to stand on invisible boards. to those watching i imagine it was entertaining. Finally it was time to get in 1...2...3 STAND UP!!! the instuctor shouted. No sooner had he said that i was under the water Heiki soon followed. We both eventually managed to stand up and actually surf Heiki being more of a pro, i actually look a bit psycotic on the pictures. Anyway it was soon over and we all had a giggle at the pictures.

We walked to the most easterly point of Australian mainland today again a bit of a gloomy day but still warm. It is winter after all. The view was fab and we could see Dolphins and even whales splashing around in the sea, the whales were fascinating they swim along and every so often stop and start jumping out of the water and flicking there tails. We headed back and got ready for our overnight bus to Sydney. Going back to where we started.
