Being picked up by our shuttle bus we were slightly relieved to see a half normal looking bus, we were thinking that it could be one of the trucks we have seen people in the back of! Our journey was fine though up to Ubud and driving through Bali we saw so much, lots more bikes, cars, school children walking on the side of the busy roads and lots of stalls lining the streets selling things. We were dropped off and found our room at Nick's homestay, which was nice...

After a 6 hour flight of no food or entertainment provided we landed safely in Denpasar, Bali! Walking off of the plane we were hit by the familiar feeling of heat but a totally different atmosphere. Just being in the airport we already felt like we had left the Western world behind us in Sydney. The airport was very serious with signs up saying things like "If you bring drugs to Bali you will get the death penalty!" Anyway after a long queue for passport control...

We arrived finally at our last destination in Australia! It was very early and we couldn't check in to our hostel until the afternoon so we went for a walk around to make the most of the day we had here! First stop was the lagoon that we used as a shower/bath, it was nice to chill knowing we had made it and would have no more bus problems! After tanning we walked through the city which we really liked, the only reason people are put off of Cairns is the humidity ...

Still feeling hyped from making it to airlie beach, and after a nap in our air conditioned room after the night bus, we headed out to celebrate! We met friends from the oz bus that we had been stranded with and everyone had made it safely to airlie and everyone was excited for their boats so we only had a few drinks and got an early night!
