Took the over night train to get to chang Mai from bangkok! almost dies when we got on train as it was roasting and the fans were pants but we opened windows and once we sent on our way the speed of the train cooled down the whole carrige! it ws very noisy though and me and jnaine were cramped up into these tiny bunkbeds! i fell asleep sitting gainst mky backpack and then nearly feel off bunk when went round corner with a bump! chang mai is definately much cooler...

past few days in bangkok have been good! went to the grand palace and the emerald budda a few days ago. it was so hot! Bangkok was the hottest city listed at 37.25 degrees!!!!!! very hot and its a dry heat not like singapore. anyway we walked to the palace which took us ages we then couldnt find our way in and kept getting stopped my con men saying the place was closed and it was budda day and they would take us in tuk tuk tour! its a huge scam to pressurise you ...

today was amazing!!!!!!!!! started very early (8am) and had a private car to take us to see the bridge over river kwai!!! we wanted to book a tour but we wanted to do tiger temples and river kwai in a day so guy gave us a private tour. he told us costs for tiger temples was included but it wasnt! sick of con artists in this country but we still paid less than some tours! anyway went to visit the mass graves of the soldiers who lost their lives in thailnd during t...

arrived in bangkok at like 6am this morning after a very long bus journey! we did get snacks and dinner though! staying at a hostel called shanti lodge and its pretty hippie and vegetarian like as everything is prganic and its mainly a veggie meanu! its really nice though and only 100baat a night! got a few too mossies in dorm though! took a tuk tuk ride like the one in the picture round lots of buddist temples and he kept stopping at silk shops and travel agents...

Arrived in puket the day before and it was roasting! we are staying in phuket town instead of beach for a change! HEAT WAS CRAZY AND WE WALKED TO FIND A HOSTEL!
