Got to taurnaga at about 130pm today. hostel is nice! staff are a bit mad though! this place seems like a holiday resort for people from new zealand. reminds me of spain! not really my thing. All good activites leave far too early in the morning so decided to go the beach instead. had to stay covered up though cause a little burnt. wandered around tauranga for a while then decided to walk to beach which is called the mount and its over the bridge!! well i should have thought this through!!???!!! it took me nearly two hours to walk and i was wearing flip flops and it was roasting! plus it wasnt the most scenic if routes!!! so feet are still killing me blisters everywhere and i still dont have my first aid kit!! beach was amazing though! crip green blue seas and tons of waves (big waves) and it wasnt that busy i must have had about 30 m between me and other people! sand was so white!!! gorgeous! all with the back drop of an old volcano! cool! want much else to see there as it really was like plama or something! heading back (via bus) to hostel! had grub then sat and chatted with folk at the hostel till about 2am! met some really nice people that gave good advice about where to go and where not to go! alot of places i want to go i would need more time! def had given me a reason to come back!!
