Day 2 in Singapore and we joined a Singapore Walk in the colonial district which took us from St Andrews church through to Raffles Hotel where we partook of the famous Singapore Sling cocktail (mind you, only one as it was quite expensive). In the afternoon we visited Chinatown and looked at the fancy temples and shopping district before heading back to pack up for our flight to Paris that night.

We arrived in Singapore on Saturday evening and transferred to our hotel without any hassle. The next morning we used the hop on bus to visit the Singapore flyer - a huge ferris wheel which gave us excellent views of the city. After lunch at a 'fast food' restaurant which promoted 'bona-fide' chicken (which raises the question on what other places may serve as chicken) we visited the garden areas around the Marina Bay area which has huge artificial trees - q...
