Spent the morning on a canal boat cruise and city tour which was very enjoyable. The houses along the myriad of canals in Amsterdam are all very similar but they look really beautiful. Some of them are leaning because they are built on reclaimed land but they look really cute. After a brief tour of the city, we stopped in a flower market and had some free time. The main thing you need to watch out for are the cyclists which they call killer bikes as they have right of way and an unwary pedestrian could easily get knocked over.

Back on board the boat for lunch and we start cruising. Of course there is the mandatory safety drill where the captain kept announcing over the speaker that we were to listen out for his announcement in 5 minutes time - so he was announcing when he was going to make his next announcement. The rest of the afternoon (and night) was spent cruising on the way to Cologne.

We are meeting many lovely people and are having a great social time.
