Went diving today. Walked down to Deep Blue diving shop at 11am and checked in and then walked from their to the dock. I got on a boat with an American couple and we started to drive towards the reef. We picked up another 3 people along the way and then headed to our first dive spot. The whole way I was freaking out thinking that I wouldn't remember how to dive anymore. The guys on the boat had already set up the gear so all I had to do was check it and put it on. As soon as I got in the water I remembered everything and was fine. I had a little bit of trouble finding neutral buoyancy on the first dive and kept floating towards the surface. On the first dive was at the coral garden. We went down to a max of 27m for 45 mins and saw a turtle, lots of coral and fish, lobsters and an eagle ray. The visibility was incredible. Even though we were over 20m deep you could see the surface and hundreds of meters in front of you. We surfaced and went to the second dive spot. This time I had no trouble with neutral buoyancy and was even able to swim with my hands together underneath me. On this dive we went to a max depth of 21m for 46minutes and we saw stingrays, huge blue groper fish, lots of tiny schools of fish, clown fish, lots of coral and another turtle. Once again the visibility was incredible. We surfaced, got picked up by the boat and went back to the docks. I walked back to the hostel and Kelly and I went into town for a frozen margarita at Wet Wendy's.
