Today we went to a beautiful resort for breakfast in San Antonio, a village on the lake. We travelled to Panajachel today. We took 4 different chicken buses which were interesting and fun. Today began way to early for my liking with a 5:30am wake up so we could hike a volcano. It was an active volcano which had had it's last eruption 21 days prior. We could still see the 6km where the lava had flowed and the steam rising from it. It was hard work. It didn't help that we had horses and their riders right behind us saying taxi, taxi every time you slowed down. What an eventful day today was!!! We left the hotel at 8am for our leisurely 6 hour drive to Antigua! About an hour in we were suddenly stopped by a huge traffic jam.
