We travelled back to Antigua today from San Juan de lago. It was a long day including a boat and a private van. When we got back to Antigua we spent the afternoon relaxing and the went to dinner at the rainbow cafe. After a few mojitos we went out to a little pub and had a couple beers and walks home a little later.

Today began way to early for my liking with a 5:30am wake up so we could hike a volcano. It was an active volcano which had had it's last eruption 21 days prior. We could still see the 6km where the lava had flowed and the steam rising from it. It was hard work. It didn't help that we had horses and their riders right behind us saying taxi, taxi every time you slowed down. We headed to breakfast this morning as a group but ended up walking around in circles not being able to make up our mind because we didn't have Ernyk to tell us where to go. What an eventful day today was!!! We left the hotel at 8am for our leisurely 6 hour drive to Antigua! About an hour in we were suddenly stopped by a huge traffic jam. Apparently the teachers of Guatemala had decided to strike today and blocked the road.
