Well we finally arrived in Dublin yesterday around 6ish after a ridiculous amount of things went wrong. After boarding our plane in Chicago, we were delayed 3 hours which just so happened to be long enough for us to miss our connecting flight in Newark by 20 min. The next flight out of Newark to Dublin was at 9:55pm the next night. Not exactly where we wanted to start our trip. By some bit of luck, a flight to Shannon was delayed and we were able to get on a plane however now we were now headed to Shannon...at 12am. Also since this all happened kind of fast my luggage was lost in the mix. Not happy. Sooo upon arriving in Shannon we had to buy a bus ticket and drive for 5 more hours. Ugh. To say it was a long day would not do it justice. Once we arrived at our hostel, Irealized that I no longer had my debit card. Seems that our waiter at that restaurant in Ohare never returned it and it got lost in the mix. For someone who rarely ever loses anything, in the first day I have already managed to lose my backpack AND my debit card. So I literally arrived to Dublin with only the clothes on my back...haha uh not funny.

On a better note, Ireland is beautiful! So green and the people have been very helpful. Lisa and I went to our first pub and had a much needed beer and some food. After we got back to the hostel we took a power nap of roughly 20 min and then headed out for our pub crawl.

We somehow found energy while only being on roughly 3hours and 20min of sleep. Fueled up on Guiness and Baileys, we met a lot of very cool people. There are a surprising amount of Australians here and everyone has an awesome accent.

One bar we went to had a Guiness chugging contest and our new friend Jane chugged that Guiness faster then I even thought possible and beat all the boys. It was pretty hilarious. We also got the chance to play some beer pong against the Australians and beat them pretty bad. America! haha The last pub we went to was Whelans and happened to be the pub from the movie P.S. I Love You which was pretty neat.

All in all, despite losing everything our first night was amazing and I cant believe we have 29 more to come!
