Right.

Well. Firstly...is anyone still reading these heartfelt?missives apart from my parents?!

We miss contact with the outside world. And are sure that coming home will be fun, at least for a weekend!

Secondly, we're in Kho Tao. Any errant map reader will realise this is quite a leap from Luang Prabang. Indeed Thailand, rather than Laos.?We spent a thrilling two days on the Mekong, a coach, another coach, yet another coach, an overnight train amd a catamaran to get here.

And we're learning to dive. We'd rather be working on our tans (still a pleasant surprise, if faded somewhat) but it keeps raining.

Diving so far has proven to be wet, theoretical and fishless. This however will change tomorrow-when we leave the swimming pool. Apparently the first time is always uncomfortable. There has been some choking, ear popping and a dramatic report of a 'pressure headache' (read, mask too tight for pinhead.)

Now, we are exhausted. Other things worth mentioning include the fact that K.Tao has more dogs than humans, and not a single turtle. White chocolate Kitkats are approximately 30p.

And this internet is expensive.
