Still feeling a bit dyspeptic this morning but much better. We got up and had breakfast. Weather is very grey. Grey sky. Grey sea. Swelly. Windy. Yuk! We are just crossing Biscay today but far outside the actual Bay itself so it is just there for reference of position.
Went to the cinema to see Gone Girl this morning. Wow. Just….. wow….. totally gripping and so many twists and turns. I will say no more other than if you haven't seen it, get it out, download it…. You won't be able to move away. One of the most enjoyably dark twisty films I've seen in a long time.
Went straight up to art after that as the clocks moved on their final hour today to bring us onto UK time. We painted a figure called The Little Footballer. Really enjoyed doing it. I could see a whole range of these….. the Little Golfer… The Little Cricketer etc. It was our last session today because tomorrow is the exhibition in the afternoon. I'm going to pick a few from the whole duration of the cruise, not just this segment. I must say that the art lessons have been a major highlight of the cruise for us. A great opportunity to pick up some skills to grow on and such a rare opportunity at our age to take the time out to do it. Obviously, we've loved all the travel and the places we've seen, but learning to draw and paint has been very special and will give us something lasting as a takeaway from our trip.
Went up to Mick and Maureen's suite for scavengers' pre-drinks. Basically this means 3 couples who pooled their leftover alcohol and nibbles….. had a very nice time and somehow ended up with more of all than we started with. Will have to do it again tomorrow now!!!!
Went down to dinner with M&M and had a very good dinner. I just had the main course of which I chose lamb shank. Yum, it was melt in the mouth delicious.
Too tired by then to do anymore than turn in. Bob remarked that he "had a big tub on and just wanted to peg out". I take that as Yorkshire for being a bit full up LOL.
Have just read the very lovely comments left against my blog yesterday. So glad that you have enjoyed reading my ramblings. I wrote it for two main reasons: for a record so that Bob and I can look back on it afterwards and remember the detail and also so that the girls could keep in touch with our doings (if they could find five minutes in their ridiculous days!).
We are still at sea currently till Thursday morning. I have put Southampton in as our location because I can't easily put a "sea" location in......

Danny I've read every day's entry. I am only sad there will not be too many more but have enjoyed traveling virtually with you throughout!
Sheila holbrook Wow, what a trip. Cant believe it is almost over bet you are the same. What fabulous times you have had, and so many wonderful memories. Am sure the blog will almost act as an aide memoire in the future for you both. Have loved reading your 'doings', will miss them!!!! Do hope the tumminess has settled down now, enjoy your last night on board, and safe trip home tomorrow. Thunk you are off to collect Daisy quite soon too, so hopefully we can chat when you are settled down in say a week or so. Love from us both xxx
Lin White Big thankyou Alison and Bob for taking us around the world!! Your blog is always the first thing I read in the mornings and it will be sorely missed. Can't it continue in the UK!! Happy last day and wrap up warm! XX
