Back at sea again cruising south along the coast of Mexico proper. We have 3 sea days before we reach Puntarenas, Costa Rica on the 7th.
It is now officially HOT again. The sun is strong and mucho suncream is required. We're both very brown and we don't even lie out in it all day like some people. Anyway, we did peg out beside the pool this morning, reading and occasionally leaping up to see the pods of dolphins and whales that kept joining our wake. We're at the end of the season apparently but there still seem to be a lot about.
Had a short meeting after lunch with the people who are coming on a tour I've organised in Costa Rica. Just went through the arrangements. Should be good. There are only 10 of us and we are incorporating a lot of elements i.e. crocodile cruise, monkeys, parrots and a zipwire through the rainforest canopy!
Art was good. A painting of two children rolling easter eggs down a grassy hill. I might try it again in a bigger size as I quite like it but would have liked to have done a bigger version than I drew. Not sure why I drew it small….. I think I was distracted by the meeting.
A very nice evening. We'd booked a table up on the rear of deck 12 at the Beachhouse, one of the speciality restaurants. You eat outside and they really spread the tables so that you feel as though you are dining on your own private yacht. Your view is forward through the rail to the sea. The food is quite nice, American style grills and dishes, but really it's all about the ambience. It was still very warm and we sat out there till about 1130, chatting eventually to another couple we'd met earlier in the cruise who come from Padstow in Cornwall. We swapped food stories.
