Glorious day cruising south just off the coast of southern Brazil, heading towards Montevideo, Uruguay where we arrive tomorrow morning. Hot again and the sea has levelled right off to a flat calm.

Bridge, painting, talks on the Great Train Robbers and the Krays by an ex policeman. Really interesting and amusing. Painting today was a wintry sun over hills and fields with a little house…. I think one of our best. Maybe we are getting better after all!!!!!

Watched the show tonight which was a musical around WW2 music called We'll Meet Again. The resident group are just so good. A pleasure to watch. The finale was a riot of Union Jack waving to communal singing of Land of Hope and Glory etc. God knows what any poor German passengers made of the whole thing LOL. Hopefully took it in good spirit but do we appear horrifically jingoistic? Are we? Never think of us as being like that but clearly given half a chance, we certainly are!

Very excited about arriving in Montevideo. We have two days there, so a good chance to explore. Tomorrow we are going to a huge estancia - a cattle station - for A Day in the Country, South American style.
