Next stop on my whistle stop tour of Queensland, Brisbane!

Arrived Saturday afternoon to a bottle of bubbly and some chocolates in my room at the hotel - good job I'm here for two nights! My room has a small kitchenette with a washing machine, it's not that my life revolves around laundrettes or washing machines, but when you don't have one to hand and you wonder when the next one will be you take every opportunity.

A short walk, a couple of blocks north brings me to queens street shopping mall for a short wander round before finding a perch and a cold drink - it's hot here in the sunshine.

My whole day here I start by getting on the hop on hop off bus (the fastest way to get around and see everything). Get off at South bank and walk along passed their wheel, several museums and even a beach (sand imported and round a pool as they have no beach). Back on the bus and round to the ANZAC memorial and many more stops in between.

Brisbane sunny, very hot in the sunshine that you start hunting out the shade.......
