So first weekend here and what to do?? Well get the other two weekends planned of course.

Myself and another volunteer (Esther, from Switzerland) are staying with the same host family so makes sense to do things together.

We spent Saturday morning at Port Denarau getting everything planned and had lunch there - a welcome break from Indian food all the time (it's all our host family cook).

Saturday afternoon we went and used the Hilton hotel pool and sun beds - thanks Hilton! It was lovely to have a swim and a laze around.

Sunday we headed out early to catch the catermaran from port Denarau to Mana island and onto a boat - seaspray for the day, snorkelling was good, not as much coral as in Aus but plenty of fish. Swimming from the boat, the Chinese girls did eventually get in after much shrieking! And a BBQ onboard with loads of salads and meats and fish..... And cake and fruit. We eventually made it home about 6.30pm.

We definitely got to see the Fiji in all the holiday brochures, all the little islands had white sandy beaches round them. Nadi is working Fiji not holidaying Fiji.
