Glad you are well - I think Chile escaped earthquakes with mostly "just" damage to buildings - not sure about Bolivia and Peru think they just felt the temors.
Pantanal sounds amazing -Was it wet season - did you see signs of the horrid the Hidrovia project (which may ruin the last remaining great wetland in the world and the planet's richest collection of aquatic plants)
The wild life sounds amazing - I hear they have albino alligators, as for the birds "If you can speak toucan, can you also speak threecan and fourcan?"- bad joke Were the storks the swollen neck Jabiru?- the Black Howler monkeys would be amazing to see in their natural habitat ( are they big?) In this part of the world Brazil is best known in the words of the Groucho Marx "Brazil is where the nuts come from." - get some photo's up pdq

Dear Alison,
Thanks for all these lovely postcards from around the world. Have just got your latest from Peru. What an amazing trip you are having and we don't know how you're going to settle back down to a humdrum life in Scotland now. Won't be long before we see you again and we're looking forward to hearing all about it then.
The sun is actually shining as I write this but there is a very cold wind. We have had a very mild autumn, actually very much better than our summer!! You certainly have not missed a beautiful Scottish summer this year.
Keep well. See you soon.
Love, Tony and Isabel

We are fine. Now have internet again so can get back into your trip properly. Was in London today. Mum and dad were down last week and it was lovely to have them. Glasgow has won the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Rest and Be Thankful has reopened after a landslide. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Cant wait to see the photos.
Lots of love

Hello Alison,
Thank you for the lovely postcard -- so good to hear from you. And I have enjoyed your postings. It's fun to learn that you have traveled to places in South America where I have also been -- the Andes mountains are amazing. You have a very adventuresome spirit! I think you have a good plan to think about your future once you get on the plane home and not a minute sooner -- things will work out for you. Take care, Susan
Carla
Hi Alison,
How are you? Thanks so much for the postcards; I'm still very jealous of your travels! Have sent you a couple of long emails with all my chat so hope you have received them - not expecting a response as I know you've got hundreds of people to keep in touch with. Everything good here. Working full time now which is seriously interfering with my social life!! Hair is getting very long now, as is yours I see.
Take good care of yourself and looking forward to seeing you when you get back. Carla xx
