Hi Alison, Can't believe its June already and it's p...ing down, all waiting for our summer to start. The kids were all at Julies last night so Euan, Rory Charlie and I went out for a drink and clubbing!!! even managed to get a dance out of the guys, some less enthusiastic than others. Rory's having trouble with his drains, thought he should lay of the Atkin's for a bit! Anna and Lucy have there new puppy (spaniel) called Zebby, she is gorgeous. Went for 8 mile run this am and feel surprisingly ok. The girls and I are off to the theatre this Wed. as part of our birthday celebrations for Anna, Friday its curry night at Anna's and Sat. Steven's 40th party in Maulside. On an Acupuncture course this comming weekend also. Kids only have4 more weeks at school..not long now. Great to get your post cards... helps to remind the kids about you!!!!

Hi Alison,
What a quick week this has been, does time go in quickly for you, are there not enough hours in the day to see all that you want to see? that's how I imagine it would be.Met up with some of your old pals from Rach. H. the other day but rain stopped play as they say, they are all looking & doing fine, Sheena is off to the Lake District this week, hope the weather improves for her.I'm spending time at home painting & decorating, nearly done thank goodness as the novelty is beginning to wear off!!
Do you intend to go into Vietnam?you said in your e mail you were going to the border or maybe I misread that.
Anyway safe travels & continue to enjoy.
Love, Jan xx

My only gossip is the cd mix i gave you before you left I entered into a big competition with the chance to play at a festival and get broadcast has been entered into a shortlist. No guarantee I will win but, its quite good to know im shortlisted. If I win i would be very happy(but that is most unlikely!!!) but you never know, maybe its my big break!! Will keep you informed. Hello Alison, we are enjoying your photos. I didn't realise you were so"into cooking" Delia Smith eat your heart out !!!! I loved the baby elephant. You are looking great, fit and tanned. You seem to be meeting, nice friendly people. We are all fine. We had drama in Whitehouse, last weekend, two "neds" were trying to break into our car plus the rest of the cars in the village!!!!!!! At one point there were 5 police cars!!!!! outside our house. Just like a scene out of " The Bill"the best part was the two boys ran up theold road, past our house and got stuck in mud,in the woods then they were shouting for help, your Uncle Neil and a Policeman got them out,so I think they probably regretted their actions!!!! I thought about letting Brodie out, but I thought that it might be too traumatic for them getting slobbered on by a huge "bear" ha ha. He is doing great, good company he is still quite puppy like at times, he is good pals with the cats. You will get a surprise when you see how big he has grown. Glad you are enjoying yourself, Love ,

Dear Alison,
Thank you so much for that lovely card from Kuala Lumpur. Sorry we were late answering it and you have been to a few other countries since then. Sounds as though you are having a great journey and we are full of admiration for you. We wish we could have some of your warm weather. The sun is shining at the moment but there is a very cold wind blowing. We spent a lovely few hours at Woodlea yesterday and Cara was on top form. She is such a chatter-box nowadays. Euan made us a very good Thai Chicken Curry which was hotter than anything you will have eaten on your travels I should think. Nearly blew our heads off.......perhaps that was what he was trying to do!!
Keep going but take care. I hope you make it to Invercargill, New Zealand eventually. You will get a very warm welcome ther, I'm sure.
Love from us both

We'll look at anything to pass the night! And we do miss your phone calls from Robin House.....
You are obviously having a brilliant time and are looking so well. Travelling suits you!
Keep in touch and be good!

Hi Alison, I guess your Birthday is already a distant memory, it was lovely to hear from you, all the better for it being on Rory's phone!!!! Euan and I had lovely time in Iceland enjoyed soaking in the Blue Lagoon with 100 strangers with white mud masks on, walked around a dead volcano and the Old Geysers were entertaining. Coulden't bring myself to have Puffin for diner. Sean was presented with a school football trophy and is very pleased with himself and they all got swimming certificates.
Luv Una
