The bus to Pucon was dead easy - two blocks from our hostel and 1500 peso and a ten minute wait and we were sorted.
Pucon is so far one of my favourite places - cleared geared up for tourists but very low rise with a much more coherent style than Bariloche. Our hostel - Chili Kiwi was right on the water front and full of charm. Run by a Kiwi and a Dutch man it had a very chilled vibe and it had lots of diffent types of accommodation including a camper van!
We had decided to spend an extra night there as Grace had spoken to the workaway people and worked out her timings. We decided the volcano climb was out - fully booked for when Grace could go anyway but the 4 hour climb up hill and the slide down put me off! We decided to go for a kayak on the lake with the hostels's kayaks and then next day we would head to the thermal springs.
Grace had picked up a stomach bug so our drinking and eating was rather low key while we where here but we still had a good time and the springs - built into a valley full of vegetation, humming birds and waterfalls. Very relaxing and got all the dead skin off us!
Grace was leaving early the next morning so we said our goodbyes and she headed off to the bus. My bus to Santiago was not going until the night so I had the day free - and today it rained..and rained...and rained. Oh and was windy. Ened up staying in the hostel all day catching up on the blog - which was at that stage 6 months behind! Ran out for food but otherwise just stayed typing and talking to the great group of fellow travellers in the hostel. The volcano climb that day had been cancelled so there were plenty of people with no plans!
Luckily the rain had stopped by the time I walked around to the bus statin and boarded the overnight bus to Santiago.
