The journey to Udaipur wasn't as smooth as the bus trip to Jodhpur as very early on I needed the toilet and when i asked when we were planning to stop the bus pulled over and the man pointed to a very open, empty field and when I shook my head he said 10 minutes....2hours later unable to sleep we finally stopped at a petrol station.
We got to Udaipur at 5:30 in the morning managed to check in a a hostel got a bit of sleep and then went on a city tour saw a museum with a city model layout and battlefield and then gardens with a statue if a famous horse who saved his master and got him to safety before the horse died. Next on the tour we saw a burial ground with big tombs I believe that that they were maybe royalty as the tombs were magnificent and there was a separate ladies part. After we saw the princess gardens with many waterfalls, although when your hot you just want to jump in them. We then went to a market in Udaipur which had piles of spices and vegetables laid out in ling rows on the floor.
After the city tour we got a bit lost finding our way back but then we gound a lake side restaurant with traditional Indian seats and had a nice meal i had chicken which is the first time in a while id had meat and we shared a fruity rice. Udaipur is stunning it has a shimmering lake running through the centra and then large hills with palace in top scattered around the edge it is ver picturesque.
The next day we started in the city palace looking at the museum which contained a section on mirrors and pictures of all the past leaders.
We had a meal at a roof top restaurant overlooking the lake we had a good meal but unfortunately got hassled by an Indian man trying to get business and wouldn't leave us alone even though our food arrived which ruined the meal quite a but. There isn't much to do in Udaipur tomorrow we are going to Agra but have been informed it is closed on Fridays so have to rethink our plan if what to do. 1 more day in Udaipur though.
