Last night we went out for a meal to a restaurant recommended by the lonely planet and it was literally the worst meal I have ever eaten. The restaurant itself wasn´t even nice but we thought there must be something about it for it to be recommended so we stuck it out despite strip lighting and warm white wine. However the steak I ordered was so disgusting I only ate half, all stringy and covered in fat I´m not even convinced it was beef as I´ve never seen it ...

Today there was a huge market in all the streets surrounding our hostel so we explored that and bought little bits, including a sun hat for me as I was worried about burning my parting and having a sore head! But then it got cloudy and rained for a bit but it was quite nice because it was still really hot. We ate lunch at a little cafe o tables out on the street in the middle of the market which was really nice and quite cheap too. Then we went and sat in a park ...

We have just arrived in our hostel after 24 hours of travelling! It´s very hot so I had a cold shower and am now in shorts! The bus ride from the airport was long but very cheap and it was interesting to see Buenos Aires develop from suburbs into the horrible part of town and finally the nice part of town where we are staying which was a relief!
