A lot has happened since i last wrote on here. I am still in Nicaragua but have been to three different places in which to talk about!! Firstly, after my last blog, we went out that night in our stunning new outfits!! We went to a couple of bars and then myself, Emilia and Kevin went to a club which was pretty cool, did a couple of shots of tequila, the usual!! The next day we drove to Granada, another Nicaraguan town!! On the way we went to the Masaya Volcano and went into some old lava tubes and saw bats and also the smoking crater of an active volcano. We went for a wander around Granada and looked at La Merced and went up the bell tower before going around the main square and to the market. We met for dinner and i had posisbly the largest portion of pasta i hav ever seen in my life!! We went to a bar but being a Thursday night it was not exactly busy!! The next day we went out for breakfast and then went on a boat trip to see the Isletas of Lake Nicaragua! We saw different houses and then went to Monkey Island, where the friendliest of the monkeys, Lola, came on the boat and ate sum grapes we had got for her. Unfortunatly she had cut her foot and there was monkey blood everywhere, so we went for a drink so they cud clean the boat up a bit!! We then went back and went for another wander aroudn Granada. I bought some braclets and a necklace, so i now hav sum official nicaraguan jewellery! We went to a steak place for dinner which was absolutely gorgeous, expensive but amazing food!! We left the next day to go to Ometepe, an island where our group leader kevin informed us would be no internet!! As the final chelsea game of the season was on sunday i was a bit gutted that i wud not hav access to scores but luckily kevin was wrong and i got to find out that CHELSEA WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!!!!! But before that happened we got to Ometepe quite late so all we really did was eat dinner and go to bed. The next day (when chelsea won!) we went to a local farm and was taught how to milk a cow and make cheese. We also got to hav lunch here which was really nice. They also showed us where they train roosters for c*** fighting. This was not so nice as they showed us the knives that they attach to the roosters and told us the basic goings on in a c*** fight! On the way back myself, Emilia and Sharon went to a local water hole which was really nice. The water had healing properties from the volcano so it was good for the skin!! After walking back through a plantation we got ready to go to a rodeo!! By this time i had found out the chelsea result and as such had already started celebrating with a can of Tona!! So wen we got to the rodeo, we carried on the Tona and watched the really drunk people make fools of themselves trying to ride the agitated bulls. Scott made friends with a local guy who started dancing with him and then asked Kevin if Sharon was available (luckily he lied and told the guy that she was married)!! We had dinner at teh rodeo, where i had beef ribs and rice and moved on to drinking rum!! After 3 bottloes of rum myself, Emilia and Kevin went to the Fiesta where we spent the night dancing away!! We had decided to get the early ferry off of Ometepe, so this morning we left at 8 and went to San Juan del Sur. We checked in and then went for a seafood lunch by the beach. We then went for a wander and tomorrow hopefully will be going to see the other beaches in the area!!
