Well now to finish off Nicaragua. We woke up on our second day of San Juan del Sur with both myself and Emilia feeling a little iffy, but decided to go to the other beaches with Sharon anyway, the rest of the group went on a sailing trip. Due to not many people wanting to go, we had to get a cab to the other beaches, which on the most part were deserted!! We had lunch in a little hut where there was only one table and had grilled chicken and rice which was very nice. We walked along the beaches til we got to the surf area and went for a little paddle in the pacific ocean!!! When we got back we decided to go for cocktails and watch the sun set which created some beautiful pictures!! Problems arose however when teh rest of the group became ill over nite and were up all night, especially as we had a travel day the next day!! We all however made it up and across to Costa Rica!! We went to Monteverde which is about a 6 hour travel from San Juan del Sur. Its a lot cooler here then in Nicaragua, i actually had to wear jeans and my hoodie!! We are staying in a hotel which is about 15 minutes away from teh town centre, which means that there are a lot of hill walks!! We went on a coffee tour, where we got to see the coffee production process and also see the sugar cane and what they do to it. We also got to make our own candy, which basically put me in a sugar coma!! We went and tried some typical costa rican food, called casada which is basically beans, rice, salad and watever meat u order. It was very nice but due to the long day we just headed back to the hotel to sleep!! The next day we went for a walk in the cloud forest. We got to see some different birds and a lot of nature!!! Instead of zip lining myself, emilia and dawn went to the frog pond which has both frogs and butterflies. It was a bit expensive and not quite worth the money but a nice experience all teh same!! We went to the supermarket to buy some bits instead of a restaurant as shops here are quite expensive. We had a picnic in our HUGE room (which has a bath!!) and then went back into town later for dinner. Had quesidillas (not really costa rican but good all teh same!). Then we were gonna go out but we had to be up early to leave for la Fortuna, so stayed in and are planning to have a big saturday night!!! Plus by then i will know if chelsea hav won yet another cup!! We had to drive down the montain and get a boat to la fortuna, whcih was exciting!! We went to a tour company and they gave us far too many options of activities to do!!! I think i am going to go to the hot springs and have dinner and tomorrow who knows, maybe the safari boat!!
