Fionally I can try and be up to date!! Since Cuba I have been to Mexico and Belize, but I will try to sum them all up!! I arrived in Cancun last Saturday and met up with the group I am travelling with. I hav a fairly large group with myself, Rhiannon, April, Dom, Fred, Lauren, Nancy, Bevan, Bahre, Johny and Debra. Our group leader is called Ana and she is from Costa Rica. I am sharing a room with Rhiannon. This tour is a little different to Cuba as we are taking public transport most of the time, which makes my bad pretty impractical!! On the Sunday we travelled to Playa which is further along the coast in Mexico. Like Cancun, it is very touristy, catering mainly for the American public. We went to the beach, had hagen daz ice creams and went for a general wander. The next day we booked on a trip to go to Chitchen Itza, a mayan ruin which is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. It was amazing to look around, the temple is huge but you can´t walk up the temples any more due to general decay but also safety concerns. We had lunch at a nearby hotel and then went for a swim in a cave. That night, despite the 5am start, myself, April, Rhiannon, Dom, Bevan and Fred went to Coco Bongo!! OMG why do they not have one of these clubs in London!! It cost $45 to get in but that included all ur drinks and it was amazing!! The girls got dragged to dance on the bar and we ended up on the stage with the professional dancers at one point!! We had our own personal bar man called Cesar, who kept my rum and coke filled all night!! I haven´t felt that drunk in a long time!! We wandered back to the hotel at around 4am, finished packing and then went straight to the bus. Due to hangovers etc Bevan managed to loose his passprt so we had to leave him in Mexico, whilst we went on to Belize. We got two buses a taxi and a boat to Caye Caulker. It si a tiny island in Belize which has a total of 3 roads running through it! We went out on a sunset cruise that evening and got very drunk by rum punch!! The next day we went on a snorkelling trip. We had three stops, on the first stop i had a panic attack and decided that snorkelling was not for me and then april cut her foot open on some coral and had to be taken back to the island to hav stitches! On the next stop we got to see sharks and other fishies but i stayed on the boat! Instead we got to talk to the captain and get drunk on more rum punch. I hav also fallen in love with their salsa, which they added prawns to on thsi trip!! It is sooooo yummy!! We tried going to the local karaoke but it wasn´t karaoke as we know it!! The next day we left the paradise island and went to San Ignacio. We stayed at an eco hotel, where they hav compost touçilets and shared showers which collected rain water! I got a room to myself, which was a little weird as you could hear a lot of noises from outside!!
