Lisa Oh my god i've been to the fabric market - and yes its well funny everyone really stare at you! Never go anywhere you haven't planned to go, if they are telling you to go somewhere else because something is closed that is the start of a scam so just stick to your original plans. Some advice for chiang mai..... 1. if you get the train you can book the ticket at hua lumphong station (cheapest way). You can get the 59 bus there i think. 2. Buy the bottom bunk, its much nicer (you two could probably share it so you could book one upper and one lower bunk). The 2nd class fan carriage is fine, the air conditioned one is freezing. Take toilet roll for the toilet on the train. 3. When you get to chiang mai DO NOT get in a tuk tuk. Get in a songtow - red or brown little bus thing, they will be parked a little way away from the station entrance in the car park. 4. Could stay at little bird guest house or nice place 2. 5. Go to roots, rock, reggae bar!! Eat loads and have fun...i love chiang mai! xxx

Lisa Hahaha love it...try and keep this updated! Its really good. This is thai food! You can't make this!!!! So glad you've been to the market, told you that you could buy everything out there!!! Enjoy the temples - if you get on the boat get on the normal boat that the thai people take not the tourist one - they will rip you off!! Or just walk/take bus. So excited for you but wish i was there!! xx
