Hi everyone! hope you are all well. just a quick update to let you know we are ok and have safely arrived in New Zealand!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we spent that day with Buck and Judith. Buck picked us up and took us and our solid frozen bags back to his for ANZAC cake and tea (the bags didnt have any) ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Armed Core and ANZAC day is a public holiday in rememberance to the armed forces just like our rememberance day! after Tea and cake they took us down to palm cove which was a beautifull bay. Georgia went and played in the park while Ali and I had a walk on the beach. Then it was ice-cream time!!! we arrived back at theirs in late afternoon, and luckily oor bags had thawed! we spent the next hour repacking and then had a dip in the pool! once we were showered and refreshed, judith ordered fish and chips from the best voted fish and chips in Cairns! it was gorgeous!!! we said our goodbyes and Buck took us to the airport.

12 hours later and here we are in Christchurch although we almost never made it. we flew to Aukland first where all the flights were delayed and about half of them cancelled due to heavy fog! you couldnt even see out the window!, luckily ours was just a delay and not a cancelation! it was too close for comfort though! Christchurch is lovely, or atleast what we saw of it! It's kinda like cambridge! The weather is just like a summer at home and the trees look the same, which is making us miss home even more!

weve done our shopping and have settled into our hostel, we can only afford cereal so thats what we had for lunch (yummy) looks like weve got cereal for dinner too. weve been up for over 30 hours so were gonna hit the hay and then see christchurch by night!

we hop onto the Trans Alpine train tomorow which is meant to be one of the most scenic journeys in the world! it takes us from christchurch on the East coast to Greymouth on the west and that is where we start our tour from, the following day!
