We have made it to the southern tip of the Eyre peninsula now after some interesting weather. We were scorching in 40+ degrees a few days ago and now we've had cool nights and cool winds, so the long pants and jumpers have come out of the cupboard! We're in a lovely caravan park at Port Lincoln, which is the 'seafood capital of Australia' overlooking the Spencer Gulf - very picturesque. We've headed northwest through the Clare Valley, another wine region and on to Port Pirie. Just north of Port Pirie we were told by a reliable source to stop at "Harry's" to try out the homemade sausage!! We didn't buy the metre long one, but settled for the smaller variety which was so nice we should have bought two! At the tiny seaside town of Port Germein we walked the 1.6km longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere where people were catching blue swimm...

Since leaving Broken Hill and crossing the SA border (where we had to give up any fruit & veges), we have stayed at a couple of interesting free camps along the way at Terowie and 'Worlds End'! Lots of railway history here and old heritage towns now looking more like 'ghost' towns unfortunately. We didn't spot any 'axe murderers' either, Fred!!
