'Nelly the elephant packed her trunk off she went to the circus!!'

After been bored in Bangkok me carlie n rach caught the 15hr night train upto Chiang Mai. We usually catch the buses but decided we'd treat ourselves and pay at bit more on the train so we had a bed to kip in. We were all on the top bunks n it felt like we were in little dens or somat. I loved it until i looked who wa opposite me smiling.... A fooking lady boy, right laugh. After we set off i noticed ting tong had walked off but she/he'd left a parcel on her bed. Well we all looked at each n i was convinced it was a bomb! After about 10 mins of s***ting ourselves Carlie was brave enough to open the bag n have a look. Poor ting tong had only gone for a drink n left her bag full of books n stuff behind! ha!

Anyways 15 hrs later we eventually arrived in Chiang Mai with no explosions etc, thankgod!! Like it here so far but when the weathers not too good, theres not really much to do without spending a fortune. Yesterday we had a really good day though n went on a day trip to go elephent trekking and Bamboo rafting. Absolutly loved it although was quite scared at one point when dumbo decided to charge off cos i cow came running up! (well i say charged off, more like run a few steps!) After that we went on about an hrs walk through the rice fields n jungle to visit the hill tribe villages and watch the locals make scaves etc. The best part of the day though was when we went bamboo rafting down the river! Was ace, although we all ended up over board!

Well thats all really for now, in a few days heading over to Laos so will be in touch then, hope everythings ok back in good old yorkshire, love to all xx
