Wow.... what a place! Sod greece n spain im off to Bali every year from now on for a hol. That island is crazy! Absolutley loved it, everyone is so friendly and make you feel really welcome. Not to mention how cheap it is. Stopped at this lovely hotel place called suka beach inn for 2 quid a night. Weve been eating out twice a day at gorgeous little resturants and the meals come to no more that about a quid each including a few beers! The weather hasnt been fantastic though but the last few days it was really nice so had a surfing lesson with one of the locals and guess what.... i actually managed to stand up! Dont know if you've tried surfing before but bloody hell, its hard work. The waves proper knocked hell outta me n i couldnt hardly move the next day so what better way to recover than a full body massage of one of the local women. Had a few massages before but the ones ive had in bali were by far the best and only a 1.50 a go, you cant beat it!!!
Met so many fab people, especially geordi n adam from devon that were going to go visit when we get home. They are just our kinda people n up for a good laugh so had some top nights out with them. We'd all go for somat to eat about 7ish then come back to hotel stocked up with arak (the local rocket fuel) and plenty of extra joss (this powder drink that makes you go crazy!) Then at about midnight we'd head down to 'the bounty club' (its a big ship) where we'd basically take over, rip it up on the karoke, stage dive, sail the ship n later sink it! Every night was full of crazy events especially for shelley as on the last night she got a ride home with the local tranny that got named davette! (her show name was florence or somat) Anyways shelley saw him flying past on his/hers clamped out moped n shouts 'DAVE..... GIZ A LIFT MATE!' Which he did! I was gutted as was poorly so stopped in and had a night with rocky balboa! I rented a dvd player n tv off a local for 2 quid! Its mad, the locals will do absolutley anything for you.
We had some nice days sight seeing too, where we hired a guide that took us to the volcano and rice fields. We also watched the locals caving stone, wood, making jewellery etc. Another day we went went on a glass bottom boat to turtle island where we got to hold turtles, snakes, massive bats, eagles... everything! Its was better than steve erwins zoo!
Were now in singapore, landed here last night ( i actually thought singapore was the capital of malaysia, didnt know it was actually a country!) so will be in touch soon after some more sight seeing.
Hope everyones ok back home,
love al xxxxxxxxxx
