On arrival in Koh Phi Phi, the first thing that hits you as a traveller is how expensive it is! Our travelling experience has been very different over the last few days as we've hit the Thailand Islands! More of a holiday resort with plush hotels, beach-goers all done up and raving nightlife, Koh Samui is completely different to the backpacker destinations we've become used to. Cambodia is now definitely my favourite country we've visited after the last couple of days! After a full days travelling on two uncomfortable buses and a number of tuk tuks we arrived at Siem Reap, the home of the 'eighth wonder of the world', the temples at Angkor. On to Cambodia! Our first destination was Phnom Penh where we stayed for two nights. The area along the river with the Royal Palace is a lovely place to walk around, although unfortunately the palace was shut while we were there so we couldn't go inside. So I haven't posted in a few days only because we've been so busy! After leaving Hanoi we took an overnight train to the sleepy fishing town of Hoi An- which we loved!
