After sometime in the lovely Chiang Mai, I headed down to Bangkok and to be frank with you I was nothing but lazy so unfortunately there isn't much to report. I basically watched nearly two seasons of The Wire. Spent a lot of time on the Internet, researching upcoming counties were visiting and various other pointless things. I bought a new book; 'Mr Nice'. I had far to much sleep and way over ate for no reason. I did try to be a tourist on a few days but I never got further then my favourite vegetarian restaurant on the other side of Khaosan Road, I lost count how many times I ate there. Even dragged Kate there one night, although we stuffed ourselves way to much and had a painful waddle back. The closest I got to seeing anything of the so called 'City of Angels', was when I was in a taxi to meet my former boss, Mr Nugent, one day for a very random lunch just past china town. Definitely different to the usual Canary Wharf Falafel. Pottsy, thank you for putting us in touch, I managed to catch him between his flight from Phuket back to the UK - can see he still leaves stuff till the last minute. He should really get a PA haha. It was quite bizarre talking about the world of LOCOG again, can't believe I left just under 4 months ago. Good to see a friendly face though. The only other time I saw a bit of BKK is when Kate and Tom arrived and they let me use their hotel pool, which was a big treat, a chance to have a little sun bathe on their rooftop pool. Although it showed me what I was missing in the world of hotel luxury, going back to my box room wasn't nice, to put it into perspective for you, when I laid on my bed, my arms and feet could took both sides of the wall. They also took me out on the Khoason Road for reunion Changs, we ended up in a odd club that was like a secret doorway off the main strip. It was definitely crawling with prostitutes too! The following night was the full group reunion, Liv and Ed, Kate and Tom then little me on me tod. Changs, shots and shisha. Great laugh to have a gang back together. The girls said their sad goodbyes to their boys and we made our to Vietnam. Vietnam reunion here we come!!
