On day seven we headed to the beach down the road, and headed into the dunes to do a bit of exploring and whilst we were there it reminded me of when I used to go to Ynyslas at Borth near Aberystwyth and explore the dunes there. After the dunes we headed back to the beach and when we got there Bill & Hugh had brought the small boat down, so Sarah, Bill and I went out to see if we could see any dolphins, unfortunately after doing the rounds a few times we couldn't see any so headed back in shore. Bill then found out about the seal we had previously seen on the beach on the way to the dunes so we went back out and around the point to see if we could find him but again no such luck, on the way back to where everyone was we managed to get a bit stuck on the coral so it made it hard to get out from the shallow water but after a while we managed to get out of it and were then well on our way back to the beach. Once we had said goodbye all the family as they had to go back because the children had school on the Monday, I decided I would take the bike for another spin and whilst on it I could suddenly see a large plume of smoke coming from a field on the horizon, so I went to find Hugh and when I showed him where it was he got a text requiring any assistance from farmers and local residents to help control the fire. Once we had loaded the ute up with some equipment to help put out the fire we headed off to look for it unfortunately the fire seemed to go out/be under control and we had managed to end up on driving on a beach and ended up at Port Hughes? Where we were unable to get off the beach, so we turned around and headed home, on the way I spotted my first wild Australian Kangaroo so we carried on whilst it hopped along the side of the field and then it darted off somewhere else so we continued towards home and managed to spot another Kangaroo along with its Joey in another field so as I tried to take a picture they disappeared aswell, so still no Kangaroo picture yet! Once we got home Hugh wanted to take Mum, Marion and I back to the beach where we ended up but to go the opposite way and go to Cape Elizabeth and then back along the beach to home. Mum was also a bit gutted that she missed the Kangaroo so we thought maybe if we head back the same way to the beach we might see at least one of the previous Kangaroo's sighted, and we were in luck the first one I saw was back up on his hill and posed very nicely for Mum and I was able to get a good picture! After this we headed to the beach and ended up doing some extreme off road driving, testing the Colorado's 4 Wheel Drive to the extreme, was great fun and felt like I was on Top Gear testing a car out except I wasn't driving thankgod!
