On day six I cleaned the Datsun Sunny before the family arrived and took it for a spin to make sure she was running well enough (just basically wanted to be a child and have a go in it)! The first lot of arrivals turned up and I met Alexandra & Sam for the first time along with their children Tom & Seb, they also brought some friends with them called Mag & Dean who had two children called Amelia & Lockie. Shortly afterwards Bill & Kristina turned up with Hamish & Sarah. For dinner we had a proper Aussie Barbie with a lot of meat being cooked on the BBQ. After everyone had filled up on the delicious grub we headed over to the old chicken shed where we had made a large pile of timber, wood and branches for a nice warm fire under the stars. Needless to say all the wood was so dry it went up pretty easily once Lockie had started it with a match. My duty for the night was to keep topping up the fire with wood especially as it burnt so much extremely quickly.
