Day 22 was a pretty simple day as we left Weetulta for the last time sadly and headed to Adelaide where we would be spending our last few days before I catch the bus to Melbourne and Mum catches her flights back to the UK.
On day 23 Mum and I visited the Adelaide Botanical Gardens which is an excellent display of all the different types of fauna that can grow in Australia, my personal highlight was the cactus garden with a wide range of cacti I have never seen before. Mum was amazed at the rose garden that was a complete sea of varying colours and although some had died or were closing to dying the garden still looked incredible. After we had successfully navigated ourselves around the botanical gardens we visited the Aboriginal Cultural Museum called Tardanygan, once we had looked here and mum had purchased some small souvenirs we headed to the central market for lunch before going to an appointment I had at the Post Office to apply for my RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) card. Mum and I then went and explored Rundle Street where all the shops are but ended up resorting to deciding what we would like to buy but not actually buy anything which was fine because we were enjoying the heat of around 39 degrees. Bill then picked us up after he had finished work for the day and took us to Sarah's evening musical soiree which was basically like an end of year concert for the junior school.
