Day 14 has been one of the many highlights of my trip so far, firstly in the morning Mary put some bird feed out and I was able to get very close to some native Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo's who I have to admit after watching them desimate their feed I was glad not to be bitten or pecked. We then headed off up the Brindabella Hills on our way to the NASA deep space exploration centre which had lots of intriguing facts and artifacts from space, it was also funny to watch the large satellite turn very slowly as we walked around. We then headed up to a nature reserved called Tidbinbilla which was almost like a safari where you drive through this incredible reserve and see animals in the wild and in their own habitats also whilst admiring the scenery, when we had lunch we were accompanied by lots of Kangaroo's and a couple of Joey's and an emu, it was great to get so close to such incredible animals, when we had finished lunch we went into a section of forest where we should hopefully spot Koala's and their Joey's and spot them we did as soon as we went into the forest we saw 2 Koala's and their Joey's, we continued on the trail to see if we could spot anymore and came across 2 more Koala's and one Joey, and a flock of Cockatoo's aswell. We then moved onto a section of the reserve where we might have the chance to spot a flat billed platypus - considered to be a rare species of animals, and other water dwellers, again luck was on our side we saw an Australian White Ibis, Pelicans, Black swan, and some other incredible birds, we also saw a couple of long necked turtles and the famous and rare platypus.
