We drove to Streaky Bay yesterday as we haven't been here before and we are supposed to be going home slow. We got a lovely surprise - a lovely little town with a beautiful sheltered bay. The caravan park has prime position on the foreshore and the afternoon was warm and sunny. We settled in and went to the local "community" pub for tea. A nice change to get a lovely meal both of us ordering local seafood. We watched the Hawks v West Coast game and came home after deciding it was worth another night. So here we are again! We went for a walk into town and went to the Shell Servo which doubles as a visitor centre and got the brochure on a historic walk which we proceeded to do. Had a coffee and checked the scratchings at the TAB as Val Mondo is racing this afternoon at Morphetville. We then went for a drive around the "Loop" to see a bit of the surrounds and found Whistling Rocks and Blowholes and several small beaches. After lunch we headed to the pub to watch Geelong beat West Coast and watched Val Mondo come last in it's race! We will have dinner at the pub again and head off in the morning. I rang Jenny Stewart and told her we would be at Meningie on Monday afternoon.
