Hey Alan. What a fantastic journey you are having. It's great to be sharing it with you from afar. Glad to hear the kilt is getting plenty of wear. TTFN Karen

Until now I had been proud of myself for learning to snowboard last week and being a real Awsome dude on the slopes to Iona's children. NOW you've invented a new winter sport AND done it before me. b*****!

Hello dear friend. What a joy it is to read of your joy. What a great boost it has given me in a week when the "black dog" has been nipping at my heels again. Know what I mean? I already sense from your words the lightness in your spirit that we spoke about on the Drogheda weekend and which you so yearned for. I thank God for this. Alan, I am deeply envious of you I am reading a book at the moment called "The Monk who sold his ferrari" By Robin Sharma. It tells the story of one of the US's top prosecution lawyers who collapses in the courtroom in the middle of a sensational trial and who during his convalescence, decides to take the drastic step of giving up his practice, selling everything he owns, and taking himself off to India on an odyssey of self discovery. The story reminds me of you, well......apart from the selling of the possession bit ha ha.........you are Scottish of course. Joking aside, it has got me thinking about my own situation and how I can undertake a similar journey, metaphorically of course, within the constraints and boundaries of my current situation. My thoughts are with you. Take care dear brother. Vincent

Hi Alan,
So much going on for you! Sounds as if you'll be coming back as a different person and living in a caravan!
I had a great weekend down south with the new friend I was telling you about and have a job lined up as soon as I sell up. The market is very different now - you sold at the right time!
Looking forward to hearing more soon,
Love and hugs,

Alan,
Just ignore that Ian Murray there is nothing wrong with penguins. If he thinks their strange come and meet some of the people we deal with! I was going to make some sort of joke about chocolate covered biscuits but thought better of it.
Drank the West Country Scrummmmmpy recently so will have to pop down and replenish the larder for your return. It's then cider at 20 paces!
Trip sounds excellent and the story worth following. A bit more of the Natural History for me please. I've put a pair of David Attenborough type shorts in the post to help get you in the mood. Sent them to Alan C/O Chile. Hope they get there.
Your journey makes me feel I want to travel more. Having spent monday at work definitely strengthens the feeling!
Yvonne sends love.

Hey Alan
How wonderful to read about your journey. It sounds so amazing and you have written so beautifully with your lovely sense of fun and humour. I was very moved to read about how you are waking up to yourself. In all journeys we can choose to distract ourself or eventually start to truely see clearly - colour blind or not!
I wish you more amazing happy times and congratulate you on your courage and strength to be all you can be.
You are an amazing being, a beautiful generous heart - thank you for sharing your inner most pain. As you have now brought it into the light, watch out, miracles may happen!!
Blessings

Bonjour mon cher Alan !!
Gros bisous
Maryvonne

Hi, Brother.
Everything you describe from your journey sounds good. I can feel in my heart that you are well and I'm so happy for you. I'm sure that you are enjoying recovering your child'soul. To help you not to be too much confused with foreing languages, je vais te parler un peu français, ha ha.

Hi Alan
It rather sounds as if your journey is bringing you everything you expected, scenery, insights, new friends, what a great creator! It's great being in touch with your journey.
Alex has just returned from Egypt with a broken arm, sent home from his surf instructor's course. His health probs were always going to be an issue but he's coping and much as he loved Egypt, after 6 weeks away, Alex is pleased to be home for Easter. He'll rejoin the other instructors at the Isle Of Wight in a few weeks.
Well, it's Good Friday and it's snowing prettily. I love the idea of the breaking glaciers - letting go and moving on. Wonderful! Think I need a few glaciers...
