We arrived in Uyuni on Alan´s birthday in the evening. We had time to find a decent hostel, and sorted out a tour the next day to the salt flats. Our journey from Santa Cruz to Potosi was the longest so far. The people who sold us the tickets lied to us and told us it was only 16 hours but it ended up as more than 20. We checked out of our horrible room in Corumba nice and early to make our way over to Bolivia. As the small towns of Corumba and Quijarro are right next to each other, we crossed the border fairly easily.
