We visited the history museum in the morning. It has a short history and (im assuming with the temp) its all impressively well preserved. Icelandic folk have a good grasp on their history, and it became evident how the various eruptions played their part. God obviously became a big thing too.
In the afternoon we donned our dry suits and went snorkeling in a fissure (sp?) of a great big lake. A highlight of the trip. Looking down was mostly boulders which had a tossed look about them, as some were delicately balanced / wedged down great big cracks. We got given hot choc and biscuits when we finished.
We went out for dinner. I had a lot of fish while there. Oh and lunch was 'open sandwiches', hard to explain, I think the bread was replaced with meat.
