Golden circle
This consists in getting into a mini bus type van and taking a circuit inland to see some impression land features that Iceland has accumulated.
#1 Great big fault lines - Iceland sits on the fault line where America's plate and Asia's plate meet. You can see great big cracks in the earth as a result
#2 Volcanoes - as a result on its fault line proximity there are volcanoes dotted all over Iceland. Each with its own activity history and ways in which they have shaped the island
#3 Gizas - being a geothermal location, all the water wants to get out, and it does at these specific holes.
#4 Geothermal Plant - Iceland get all their heat & power from the earth.
#5 Waterfalls - we visited two impressive waterfalls
#6 Glaciers - great big ones. Never got to visit but see in the distance. Surprise of me was how high they sat on / above the horizon.
#7 Art - everywhere. Chewing gum on the street had been painted multiple colours.
#8 Food - Everything was Delishissss.
#9 My new green dress - I found her is a little second hand shop and she is beautiful. No tags, I might say homemade, odd material, quirky buttons and a perfect fit.
I've diverged a little from land formations, it's now a list of things I loved about Iceland.
