Adventures with Andrea and John
Well it finally happened the day in Sydney I was waiting for arrived. I woke up at 5:30 (it takes something special to get me up that early on vacation.) Arrived at the stage door of the Sydney Opera House at 6:45 checked in got my VIP backstage pass at filled out my breakfast request form then off we went. (Took my small camera so no pics at this time will post a couple when I get home) stared in the smaller of the two main theatres the Joan Sutherland Theatre formally the Opera Theatre. All the sets come up through the back of the stage on the largest elevator I have ever seen. Then we stopped by the orchestra pit then off to see the rest of the 6 theatres there are on site. The tour guide was amazing and very informative. I noticed for all you tech junkies out there the following gear. Martin Mac moving heads (lots and different models) Source 4 elipsoidals (lots and lots) Meat Racks of par cans (lots and lots) And some Chauvet Splash LEDs Had a great breakfast in the Green Room (no pics allowed) and no pics allowed of the sets naturally.
