We made it to Singapore!! And not only that, we made it totally drama-free!! We had just enough time to swap planes. After the first plane was similar to a flying biscuit tin, the Singapore Airlines airbus was a nice (safe) change! Although the food may take a little getting used to with fish and noodles for breakfast!
On leaving the airport we decided to take the sky train, although we weren't really sure what station we were going to, we simply asked someone and went to where they said. Then obviously for us it was the wrong place! So someone else told us to take a bus so we walked about a bit, then copped out and just took a £2 taxi! by this time we were the sweatiest people alive! I think we've all had enough of our bags already and it may take some time to acclimatise to the humidity! It was 8am and we couldn't handle it - everyone else seemed quite cool in their jeans!
On the way we passed some really beautiful buildings, however when the taxi finally found our hostel it was just some makeshift door between shops with a paper sign stuck to it. Still unsure if this was even the place we went up a couple of really dark staircases to be met by another door and a phone to call to get in, turns out the phone didn't work and the door was just open. But, an old lady sorted us out and showed us our place. It is a little on the dingy side but I guess it will be the first of many! And it didn't stop us having a good sleep, although the others don't seem to be able to wake up now after saying we'd get up 2 hours ago, but never mind! Think the plan is to hit the night safari tonight.
