Well yesterday was one of the best days so far as Sarah and I had a lazy day away from the group where we did pretty much nothing all day. Although we did find a great Ukranian restaurant of a side street that did the tastiest food of the trip so far. We then went to a few bars before going and collecting the vodka for the three day train ride that is coming up.
Once we had dropped off the shopping I updated this blog then went out again. Unable to find a single restaurant we decided to go back to the same restaurant for the second time of the day (it really was that good!!!). Although we did manage to order different things and still enjoy it just as much.
It was then decided that we would go and get a final beer for the night and tried a few bars, all of which were closed or didn't serve alcohol (at 10:30), until we stumbled upon the strangest bar in Moscow (Leon bar) in which the hostess was told off for letting us sit at the bar (or that was the impression I got). Sarah doesn't believe me but looking at the place and the people in it I still believe that we had somehow ended up in a mafia bar. The drinks were also extortionate (probably spelt wrong but I don't care) at nearly five pounds a bottle.
Well I'm off for three solid days on a small train, in which we are setting off almost three hours before the train, even though the train station is a ten minute walk. This is because we have the worst honcho (if you could call him that) in history as from day one he seemed to be put out to even be there! Plus a couple of members of our group have had no issues with pointing this out to him! Although there were twins on training to be a honcho that appeared to be doing there best to help and although they didn't know the area tried there hardest.
Well I'll update shortly
