Day 33
Mathilde knocked on our door at 7.30 to wake us up, then we headed to the kitchen to help make breakfast. We were given some dough and showed how to flatten it out, so that it could then be deep fried. Around Lake Titicaca this is just how they make normal bread, it's served with jam on top and is amazing (although once again she gave us waaaay too much and I couldn't finish :( )
After breakfast came washing up time, water was collected into a big tub from a tap outside (meaning it was literally freezing, I'm talking about 2 degrees here) then soap was added and all the bowels, pots, plates, pans etc are scrubbed with a little sponge. I stupidly decided to tackle the cheese grater, which took about 10 minutes to scrub because bits of sponge kept getting stuck in it
