Chill out week in Singapore!

Well we are now coming to the end of are week in Singapore. It's been interesting as such a small place and a week is far to long to stay here so you can proberly guess by now we are very bored! So what have we been up to! We have visited Chinatown which was very sweet little India which was'nt as nice as Chinatown so didnt hang around there quite so long. Visited some more temples as if we have'nt seen enough of those already! Loads of shopping centres but very expensive so just window shopping as we are now on a tight budget. So if your a shopper holic and have loads of money this is the best place to come too. We went to Clarke Quay which is singapore's night spot for restaurants and pubs so we wondered around there for the afternoon till the evening. We found the restaurant Hooters which was funny as it was all girls dressed in not alot of clothes (very short hotpants). Had a few drinks there and watched the world go by and everything light up at night it was really nice. We've been to Sentosa island for a day not sure what to make of that! A very fake island its like someone just dumped aload of sand on top of some concrete and it's a huge tourist attraction so very busy full of kids. There was quite alot to do there but once again you had to pay and we are being so tight with are money this week so we didnt do anything apart from sit on the beach and visit Merlion the statue. It was okay for a day out something to do anyway. Yesterday we went to the botanic gardens which was lovely walked around there for a few hours chilled out on the grass for awhile to try and top up are tan but of course it starts to rain again so we gave up and hide in a cafe for awhile instead. By then we were so tired and bored we headed back to the hostel to chill there instead watched a few dvd's. Are hostel is the smallest you've ever since in your life the rooms are tiny only just about fit 4 people in and there's no window so it's horrible not knowing when its daylight or not. The air con has been a bloody nightmare at one point it was blowing out hot air then found out that we had the wrong remote for it. Then the couple who were in there with us put on soooooooooooo cold that me and Philly froze all night that was abit of a shock to us! Anyway all sorted now hostel is sweet lovely people and we get free breakfast and internet so not all bad. We found out we are staying right next to the red light district as was wondering why all the men were looking at us then we made the mistake of walking down this road where all this girls were hanging around working! So we left rather quickly at that point. But we've done really well in finding this place as it seems to be the cheapist around and right outside are hostel is a huge food court so many restaurants to choose from so thats a nightmare decided what and where we are eating every night. And so cheap too are meals come to S$2.50 which is'nt bad for Singapore at all and such lovely tasty food as well. Today we are having another bumming around day as it's are last day. Johnathon arrives tonight to join us going to Vietnam tomorrow. Philly is soooooo excited to see him as she has'nt for awhile now, bless her! Tomorrow we fly out of Singapore at 10am and head to Vietnam for are last part of are travels cant believe it's come round so quick the last 3 weeks will fly by. Thats all for now everyone!
