Day 6
We had a leisurly breakfast before checkout at 12. The man who ran the guesthouse was really nice and he let us keep our bags there at no extra cost for the day. Headed to a cheap internet cafe and found a few decent looking hotels. we then walked that street and found a cool market, we'd booked a boat tour for 4pm so we just pottered about here for and hour. OMG we had a kfc for lunch!!! It was sooo good and cheap! and we both had a chocolate waffle which was yummmmmy. Little bit strange because all the chocolate was in the inside of the dough, anyway headed back to the hotel and waited for the tuk tuk to pick us up. When he got there we headed down to the river to a long boat which took us down stream, we got to nosey at some really nice waterfront houses and a few more temples, he stopped at a few so we took a look.
When we got back to shore we headed to seven eleven ( thais equivalant to tesco) for snack to Chaing mai. First cash point didnt work and neither did the second. Ermmm so I (Hanna) dont have any money left. b*****! We had dinner and grabbed our bags. Grabbed a tuk tuk and made for the train station. OMG! are you seriously kidding me!!!! the atm wont give me my money, I have to contact my bank. Stupid atm machines, you have loads of money in there, just give me MINE! Train was over an hour late and that fan doesn't want to fan this way. Sooo unbeliveably stressed right now.
Finally the train came, it's so strange! it has carriages of bunkbeds :) Going to sleep now and trying not to fall out of bed (me and aimee both have top bunks)
First thing to do in the morning. BANK!
Day 7
Woke up on the train!! Had breakfast which is Thailand train food, like plane food only the sausages or lack of it tasted like carpet (aimee liked them) a double runny egg and a slice of processed ham that tasted like plastic aswel as two chunks of pineapple and a tommy tomatoe and two slices of soggy bread. So TIP TWO of the holiday. make a pack up for long journeys.
Went back to sleep like the lazy gits we are, woke up and spent the next few hours reading. the pair of us have the greasiest hair known to man, and neither of us have shaved our pits for at least five days. BUt you know what, Im happy to be a minger right now!
Got to Chiang mai and checked into a hotel. Bags down. Aircon on full blast. Avoid mirror and straight for a shower. LUSH!
Right, time to sort stupid card out.
Only turns out some stupid jerk has cloned my card! GREAT! Thank god aimees here shes been my bread winner this past day. The guy on the phone said because it has a block on it i'd have to ring each time id want to draw out money!!
After lunch, we both tried a native dish called koi soy which is like a red curry only nicer, we went back to the internet to unblock my card temporally only it didnt god dam work!!! grrrrr back to the cafe emailled me dad, hopefully its sorted in the next day because my tabs slowly creeping up.
Had our laundry done earlier so were just getting ready for tonight slowly, heading to Chiang mai night market night market and cocktails tonight.

Wondered for miles around Chiang mai today visted a local market ant a cool temple, cant remember waht is called wat something or another. having a power nap then to the night market.
Set off about 5 and ate some tasty indian food wondered about and bought a few bits. We went to this really cool bar where you have to take your shoes off and sit on cushions on the floor, all the walls are uv painted! AWESOME!!
Day 9
Wow. Can't believe we've been here 9 days already. we grabbed breakfast and booked a trek for tomorrow, we're going elephant riding, white water rafting and rubber rafting. Can't wait, and it was all for about 1500 baht.... about 30 quid!
Headed out for early lunch freshened up had headed to a umberella painting place... we picked up a fan and the artist painted a personal design for us, reallllly coool stuff! we thought we were really close to the shopping but as we started walking in the blistering heat it turned out to be forever! Didnt actually make it, but we went into a gemstone factory and pretty much found our wedding rings. now to find the husband, and by the price he better be rich! nipped into a cotton place and saw the people making the cotton clothing. Got back and grabbed a shower, headed out for scran and had a cocktail at a cool roadside bar.... a bar that turned out to be the back of a truck.
see you in a few days folks .
