Today we crossed the border from Uganda to Rwanda for a day trip to visit the very powerful and moving Genocide Memorial at Kigali to commemorate the 1,000,000 Tstui's killed 20 years ago. We also visited the memorial for the 10 Belgium soldiers killed before having lunch at "Hotel Rwanda", on which the movie was based. Hard to believe how this country has managed to bounce back and move forward after such atrocities...
