Silvia's world travel adventures
9am bus from Copacabanna, including the boarder crossing where we had to wait for the bus to return seeing that it had forgotten the paperwork for the bus in Copacabanna, got us to Puno at 11:30am. We immediately got a boat tour to the floating islands. It was totally touristy, but interesting. There are 2000 people staying on these islands which float on specific floating ground and cover it with reeds. Their sole income is from tourism. It was interesting but if would not really recommend doing it if strapped for time.
Rona went on to Arequipa, while Leanne and I got a 10pm bus to Cusco, thus leaving us with enough time to explore Puno and it's coffee shops/restaurants.
